Keryn Mitchell

Clinical Psychologist (MAPS)

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor with experience across public health and private practice settings. I value building genuine, supportive supervisory relationships where psychologists feel comfortable to reflect, ask questions, explore challenges and build confidence in their work. My approach is warm, collaborative and encouraging, with an emphasis on curiosity, self-reflection and ongoing professional growth. I enjoy supporting psychologists to develop their clinical skills, strengthen their professional identity and navigate the rewards and challenges of working in mental health. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you feel supported, valued and empowered in your development as a psychologist. I am available to support registered psychologists, provisional psychologists completing their clinical psychology registrar program.

I am Member of The Centre for Perinatal Psychology, and have completed further training including the Perinatal Infant Mental Health Intensive Training (45 hours) and the Grief, Trauma and Attachment: An Integrated Approach to Perinatal Loss Training (24 hours). I have completed training in Medicare Perinatal Non-directive Counselling, The Royal Children’s Hospital Engaging Infants program, The Australian Childhood Foundation’s Bringing Up Great Kids facilitator training and Gottman Bringing Baby Home program. Keryn also has experience working with carers impacted by a cancer diagnosis of a loved one and is a part of the Carer Psychology Team at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

I have a specific interest in helping psychologists build their solo private practice, with extensive experience starting my own from inception, large caseload, building referral pathways, managing administration (Halaxy), intake and discharge processes, marketing and ethical closure after 5 years.
